Recognising facial expressions and understanding emotions help children to communicate their own feelings and empathise with others. This set has all the charm of the bestselling Emotion Stones but includes 8 jumbo stones with 4 emotions that young children most readily experience – happy, sad, angry and surprised. 

This set includes 2 examples of each emotion, so that they can be used for matching activities. The stones are cast from a unique mix including real stone, making them durable for use in sand and water, indoors and outdoors. Each stone measures 7cm and has a tactile surface so children can use their sense of touch to feel the emotion as well as see, this also makes them great for guessing games.

The world of emotions can be difficult to navigate. Acknowledging and sharing how we feel are important steps towards understanding ourselves better, as well as learning how we can help ourselves and enable others to help us. Being able to name feelings they come across will help children on their journey towards coping with strong emotions.
