Venture back to the enchanting Dreamtime when all birds were pristine white. Among them was a crow named Waan. However, when a powerful storm unleashed a magnificent rainbow, birds passing through it emerged in brilliant colours. Waan, too, flew through the rainbow, transforming his feathers into vibrant reds and oranges. Yet plagued by jealousy, Waan sought to outshine his fellow birds, devising a cunning scheme. Alas, his plans took an unexpected turn…

Inspired by an ancient tale of the opal on the author’s grandmother’s country, ‘Cunning Crow’ is a thought-provoking narrative that echoes themes of beauty, embracing differences, and the importance of refraining from judgement based on appearances. This story serves as a reminder to be content with who we are, delivering a timeless lesson through a captivating journey.
