A delightful story created by First Nations students for the south coast of New South Wales, this story tells of the lives of the Bittangabee tribe. Beautifully illustrated with the help of local primary school children, the story follows Ninima and his family on their long summer journey into the mountains to collect Bogong moths and then home again to the sea. The story highlights the importance of family and kinship in First Nations culture and beautifully captures the knowledge of plant and animal relationships that the First Nations people possessed. The story has a strong environmental and cultural message for children.
