These Working Charts encourage children to memorise essential combinations through repetition of unit division. The repetition of children practicing matching the number tiles with the equation answer and placing it on the board, helps concrete the learning.

As children become confident with matching and transferring number combinations to complete equations, they can also begin to create their own mathematical games and patterns. Children are enabled to explore the Subtraction Working Charts in ways that are meaningful to them.
